Management Broking Crewing Consultancy

Sunscot's shipbroking activities were originally established to secure the best possible employment for our fleet of managed vessels. However, today our chartering operations have expanded beyond handling only in-house managed vessels and a considerable amount of our fixtures are arranged for non-management clients.

We deal with both the dry cargo market, and small tankers, and through our regional expertise we have developed an insight into the most profitable empoyment for certain classes of vessel. Our experience includes all types of time and voyage charter parties, making arrangements for the carriage of sugar, grain, coal and fertilizer cargoes, plus chemicals and palm oil products.

Our company has a high reputation in commercial management for our thouroughness in following up charter settlements and in dealing with disputes.

Sale and purchase of vessels is part of our shipbroking activities and our services in this area include pre-purchase inspections and technical assistance to ensure the owner recieves full value in the transaction.

Our S & P expertise covers the preparation of all necessary documentation involved in the transfer of vessel ownership, including sale forms and registration of the vessel under a flag of the owners' choice.

Sunscot's technical staff are constantly monitoring vessel operations to ensure required maintenance and repair programs are carried out in a timely manner, and to assist our managed vessels in any other function where the experience of our technical staff can be of use.
