Mr. Fung completed his technical apprenticeship in Hong Kong in 1962 and joined World-Wide Shipping as a Junior Engineer Officer in 1965. In 1990 he was promoted to Chief Engineer's License where he continued to gain experience working on motor bulk carriers and tankers with engines up to 22,200 BHP. After more than 30 years at sea Mr. Fung joined Sunscot in 1996 as Technical Superintendent.

With his extensive experience on a variety of vessels Mr. Fung is particularly well qualified to supervise and quickly resolve difficult engineering problems, without compromising vessel safety or operation. Over the years, Mr. Fung has developed and maintained efficient and productive working relationships with repair yards throughout the world and he is also very experienced in working with vessel crews and shore staff of different nationalities. Using e-mail and faxes Mr. Fung has solved many complex technical issues whilst vessels are still at sea which has saved the owners both time and money.
